Parafuso

Parafuso

Prerequisites

Optional

Doubleleg
The Parafuso is a Doubleleg that is entered from the Cheat setup.

Think of it as a Tornado Kick or 540, where you bring your legs together in mid-air and then you land on both feet.

01 Tornado Kick

Start with a good Tornado Kick. You should get some airtime and be comfortable with the cheat setup. Use your arms to gain more momentum into the setup.

02 Mini Parafuso

Enter your cheat setup like you would for the Tornado Kick and bring your first leg up straight instead of bent. It does not need to be raised very high. After that, jump with your other leg and let it meet the other one in air.  Land on both feet.

03 go a bit higher

Your first leg that you bring up straight will determine how high your Parafuso will be. That means try to bring it up a little bit higher before you jump off.

04 Hip height or horizontal

Now bring your leg up all the way until they are at least parallel to the ground. Or to about hip height. You could then already count it as your first Parafuso.

05 Swing it up like a 540

For the last step, you'll need to bring that leg up higher than your hips. It's very similar to how you swing your leg up for a 540 but straight instead of bent.  Just swing your leg up straight and kick over with the other one, like you would for the 540 Kick.

Tips

Using your arms can really help with this trick. Swing them wide into your cheat setup and then lift them up together with your shoulders to get more height. More height means more time for your legs to come together.

If you can already do a 540 kick, you can also work your way from there. Do a 540 Kick with a straight non kicking leg and instead of kicking over it, just connect your kick with your other leg.

Bend your knees on the landing to absorb the impact.

Try to minimize the amount of travel. You want both of your legs to land underneath you and not too far away from you.
