Tornado Kick

It’s a Tornado Kick done from frontside stance and jumped with both legs. While the normal tornado kick only has about 180° of rotation, the pop tornado has 360°.

Stepping into pop tricks


Any pop trick can be done from standing but you can also gain a lot of momentum by taking a small half circle step into it.  

Start in frontside stance (chest facing the direction of travel). 

Squat down and get your arms ready to swing by winding them up to the side.

Jump up and push through all they way through your toes. Initiate the spin  with your upper body. Your legs will follow.

pull up your non kicking legs knee - just like in a normal tornado kick. Spot over your shoulder to see your target early.

Spot your target and chamber your round  kick.

Kick!

Pull the kick all the way through.

That's it.

Tips
Try not to lean back when you jump up. It can work really well for normal tornado kicks but can throw you off balance pretty quick with pop kicks. Stay as straight as possible.
