Cart Full Feilong

Cart Full Feilong

Optional

Cart Full Shuriken
Cart Full Feilong is a Fulltwist with an outside crescent kick that is followed up by a roundkick before landing. However you can view it as a Pop Feilong that is entered from a cartwheel. The momentum of the cartwheel and how you throw your arms out of it will take care of the needed inversion. (You don’t even need to be inverted for this trick. It’s just a big Feilong.)

01 Pop Feilong

The most obvious prerequisite for this trick. To be perfectly honest it doesn’t need to be Pop too because I personally struggle with pop kicks and could still learn Cart Full Feilong. If you can only do Cheat Feilong, then that’s fine too. Just make sure you are comfortable with the Feilong motion (outside crescent to inside crescent or roundkick). You can also substitute the outside crescent with a snapping front kick.

02 Cart Full Round

Almost the same trick minus the first kick. They also feel very similar because of that. I think you could actually learn Cart Full Feilong before this trick or even before you learn Cart Full by just throwing a big Feilong out of your cartwheel. However I still recommend you to learn this first so you get a feel for inversion, flipping and how to use your arms.

03 Cart Full Feilong

It’s really simple if you can do both prerequisites. Just start as you would for a normal Cart Full and as soon as you exit the cartwheel, think about doing a big Feilong. I actually try to spot on both kicks which makes mine not as inverted but I personally like that aesthetic more. If you spot the ground instead you may get more inversion and more flip in exchange for less pronounced kicks.

Tips

I actually don’t really throw an outside crescent kick in my Full Feilongs. It’s just a quick frontkick that I snap out before the roundkick. It feels more controlled for me. If you are comfortable with Full Shurikens and B-Twist shuriken etc. then you may try it that way and see if it works better for you.
