Jackknife
The Switchblade, or also known as Paraknife, is a Parafuso that terminates in a hook kick.

Parafuso + Cheat 720 = Switchblade / Paraknife

01 Parafuso

You need a solid and high Parafuso for this trick. Try to bring your legs together as soon as possible to really emphasize the doubleleg motion. You need to be able to spin all the way around into backside stance again, because that’s the position you need to be in to throw a hook kick on target. Try to land as upright as possible. Use your arms to get additional lift.

02 Cheat 720

While the Switchblade is a Jackknife variation it doesn’t feel like one. It’s more of a Parafuso that cancels into a Cheat 720. The Hook kick part of the Switchblade is the most important to get clean and good at, because it’s the kick that terminates the trick. You need to be able to throw a decent double pumped Cheat 720 before you attempt this trick.

02.5 Jackknife

It’s not required to know how to Jackknife first, but it will help immensely, because you’ll already know how to cancel a trick mid air into a hook kick. If you think about it, a Parafuso is just a 540 with both legs together. And Jackknife is just a 540 with an hook kick. So the Switchbalde isn’t that far off.

03 Switchblade

The first thing you need to be able to do is a Parafuso that lands all the way in backside stance. This will make sure you have enough rotation to get into a position, where you can kick on target. Set up for a big and high Parafuso and as soon as you legs hit about 3 o'Clock, that’s when you when you want to cancel straight into a Cheat 720. Or basically just turn around quickly, spot your target and throw the kick. You don’t want to cancel too early. Your hip must face to the side before you turn around to kick. If you cancel too early, while the hip is still facing the front, you won’t make it around all the way for a decent hook kick.
Tips

Recap: Parafuso high and fast and just think about getting around as quickly as possible. As soon as your legs hit 3 o’clock and your hips face to the side, that’s when you cancel into a hook kick. Turn around fast and spot your target.

Don’t kick kick too early and ride that Parafuso all they around.

Go for height and not distance. Use your arms and throw them upwards, as you takeoff.
