Cart Full Hyperhook

Cart Full Hyperhook

The Cart Full Hyperhook is a Fulltwist from a Cartwheel that you land with a hook kick firing to your target.

It becomes a lot easier if you think of it as a Pop 720 or Backside 1080 that you enter from a cartwheel. The momentum of the cartwheel should take care of most of the inversion.

01 Cart Full

This is obviously the most important prerequisite for this trick. Make sure you have this solid and consistent before you learn the hyperhook variant of this trick.

02 Full Round

This trick will teach you how to get your body and especially your hip into the right position to pump over for the hyperhook. You can also view this trick as a Pop Tornado that is entered from a cartwheel. All you need then is to change it into a Pop 720 and it becomes a Full Hyperhook.

03 Pop 720

Don’t worry if you can’t do the Pop 720 yet as I find it actually a bit harder than Full Hyperhook. But if you can do it already then that would be a huge plus, since they’re both essentially the same trick - the only difference being the inversion level. If you can’t do it yet, a Cheat 720 will also be useful, because it uses the same knee pumping motion as the Pop 720 and Full Hyperhook.

04 Backside 1080

Usually you land your cartwheel somewhere between backside and frontside, with your toes facing sideways instead of backwards or forwards. That means a Backside 1080 has slightly more rotation than a Full Hyperhook but still they feel very similar. If you can already do a Backside 1080 then the Full Hyperhook should be even easier (but not necessary).

05 Full Hyperhook

If you have all these prerequisites on lock, there is not much from stopping you to learn this trick. Perform a Full Round just as usual but instead of kicking out, just pump your knee over like you would for Cheat / Pop 720. Re-spot your target and hook kick through. It’s just like a stepover hook kick, but really big. You can also approach it purely like if it was a Pop 720 and then you add inversion little by little.

Tips

Your arms are very important when it comes to inversion level. As you exit out of the cartwheel you want to swing them up and into the twist. If you swing them from one side to the other you won’t get much flip and it WILL be just a Pop 720. So raise them way above your head and then into the twist.
